Achim's profile:
Achim started diving in 1980. At age 18, he went to Florida where he
worked as a diving instructor and started his commercial diving career.
Prior to starting his own company "Classic-Dive" in 1996, Achim worked
as a diving instructor in Munich.
In 2002 Achim founded
THE-INNER-SPACE.COM a company dedicated to the highest quality dive
training and exploration around the world. THE-INNER-SPACE.COM serves as
a resource center for the diving community. From 1999 till 2008 Achim
has taught various courses and levels for GUE - Global Underwater
Explorers - where he was the only German speaking Tech 2 - Instructor
worldwide.
After this intense period Achim decided it´s time for change
as he could not agree with the philosophy displayed in the development
of GUE. Achim is now offering his classes under the shield of TDI where
he has the freedom to provide his training on the highest level
without beeing compromised by the organisation's desire to go mainstream.
Achim is an avid underwater photographer and is a regular contributor of
both articles and photo artwork to several professional diving
magazines, books and photo calenders.
