Achim's profile:
Achim started diving in 1978. At age 18, he went to Florida where he worked as a diving instructor and started his commercial diving career. Prior to starting his own company "Classic-Dive" in 1996, Achim worked as a diving instructor in Munich.

In 2002 Achim founded THE-INNER-SPACE.COM a company dedicated to the highest quality dive training and exploration around the world. THE-INNER-SPACE.COM serves as a resource center for the diving community. >From 1999 till 2008 Achim has taught various courses and levels for GUE - Global Underwater Explorers - where he was the only German speaking Tech 2 - Instructor worldwide.

"..my customers always asked for the most rigorous and demanding training. They want to get the real expirience, feel the real limit and in the end know that they had to give everything. When I realized that I could not offer that anymore under the shield that proffed to be my home for the past 10 years I knew it was time to move on..."

To be able to server those needs and to offer the best value for his customers´ money, Achim formed ISE - InnerSpace Explorers:

Founded by an active explorer with its core of technical Instructors choosen carefully from only the best instructors that have a similar history and are active in what they teach, ISE Programs are less restricted by a financially influenced philosophy as ISE is not connected to a certain manufacturer. Although ISE is clearly influenced by the DIR Philosophy it is open minded for new input and leading technology that may have its place in the diving field.

Achim is an avid underwater photographer and is a regular contributor of both articles and photo artwork to several professional diving magazines, books and photo calenders. He lives in Munich with his wife and daughter.
